Mrs. Alfred Garbisch was hostess to the Fremont Homemaker club last
Thursday afternoon. Two visitors attended. They were Mrs. Frieda Dahl of Chili,
and Mrs. Myrtie Davis. The program consisted of spring and Easer readings by the
members. Mrs. Garbisch showed pictures of years ago. The next meeting will be
held at the home of Mrs. Everett Kauffman.
Mrs. Paul Schmidtke, formerly
of Granton, who underwent brain surgery five weeks ago, has been moved from the
Marshfield hospital to the new Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids, where she
remains in a coma.
Dinner guests Saturday evening of Mr. and Mrs. William
Lehmann were Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Jahr of Marshfield, and Mr. and Mrs. Glenn
Lavey of the Town of York.
Mr. and Mrs. Manford Cain attended a meeting
of the friendly neighbors club Friday evening at the Dale Tyler home in
Marshfield.
Mrs. Fred Steinich of Menomonee Falls, who had been spending
several days with her mother, Mrs. Bert Hayden, returned home Tuesday
accompanied by her mother, who will spend a few weeks at her daughter’s home.
Mrs. Dana Johnson, who spent the winter assisting with the work at the
Hayden home, has returned to Park Falls.
Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Fero visited
Mrs. Jennie Porath Sunday at the Edwin Porath home in Owen.
Mr. and Mrs.
William Schmidtke and Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Pietenpol were dinner guests Monday
evening of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Helm.
