Pigott, Harley (24 January 1891 - 24 March 1969)
Harley Pigott, 78, of Rt. 1 Granton, died Monday in a Marshfield hospital.
Funeral services will be held this (Thursday) afternoon at 1:30 p.m. from the
Georgas Funeral Home in Neillsville. Burial will be made in Windfall Cemetery,
Granton. The Rev. Jack Grether will officiate.
Mr. Pigott was born
January 24, 1891, in Mauston. He attended school there, later working in logging
camps. He came to Clark County in the early 1900’s and located on a farm in the
Town of York. He served as a member of the school board of the Mack School for
several terms. He was married on November 13, 1919, to Bernice Downer, who died
in 1968.
Surviving are 12 children: Mrs. Art (Lillian) Kriederman of
Central Valley, Cal., Mrs. Richard (Emma) Paliafita of Phoenix, Ariz., Mrs.
Arnold (Gladys) Karl of Rt. 3, Neillsville, Mrs. Ada Schave of Fond du Lac, Mrs.
William (Doris) Johnson of Milton, Mrs. Levi (Dona) Galligan of Eden, Harold
Pigott, of Walla Walla, Wash., Harland Pigott of Chili, Mrs. Elton (Zelda) Janke
of Alma Center, Mrs. James (Edith Fox of Fond du Lac, Mrs. Bernard (Rosalie)
Hamburg of Fond du Lac and Mrs. Glenn (Bonnie) Love of Pascagoula, Miss. Other
survivors include a sister, Mrs. Nellie Fraser of Aloha, Ore.; 32 grandchildren;
and two great-grandchildren.
