Schlinsog, Amelia (9
December 1885 - 18 March 1969)
Funeral services for Mrs. Amelia
Schlinsog, 84, of Marshfield, who died March 18, in Neillsville, were held last
Saturday from the Zion American Lutheran Church, Town of Grant. The Rev. Walter
Schultheiss of Marshfield officiated and burial was made in the parish cemetery.
Mrs. Schlinsog, the former Amelia Gluch, was born December 9, 1885, in
the Town of Grant. She was married November 25, 1905 to Robert Garbisch, who
died in 1949. On October 20, 1951, she was married to Ernest Schlinsog. After
retiring from farming, she lived for 15 years in Marshfield. The last three
years she had been a resident of Memorial Home in Neillsville. She was a member
of the Faith Lutheran Church in Marshfield.
Survivors are her husband,
Ernest Schlinsog of Marshfield; three sons, Ervin and Melvin Garbisch of
Granton, and Elmer Garbisch of Cudahy; two daughters, Mrs. Frank (Erna) Tykac
and Mrs. Renota Scoda, both of Marshfield; and a step-daughter, Mrs. Russell
Sheldon of St. Francis. Other survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Christine
Garbisch of Memorial Home in Neillsville, and Mrs. Ida Howard of Pittsville; 17
grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
