Schultz, Albert Edward (7 May 1880 - 17 March 1969)
Funeral services for Albert Edward Schultz, 88, of the Bryan Home in
Neillsville, who died March 17 in Neillsville, were held last Thursday from the
Georgas Funeral Home. The Rev. William Dushek of the United Methodist Church
officiated. Burial was made in the Town of Grant Cemetery.
Mr. Shultz
was born May 7, 1880, in the Town of Grant. He attended schools there and farmed
in that town for many years. In the winters he would work in logging camps and
was also employed by the old Schoengarth Brick Company.
He was married
September 7, 1908, in Neillsville to Mary Ellen West, who died in 1941. Fourteen
years after her death he made his home with his son, Elmer, and wife. For the
last 12 years he had been a resident of the Bryan Home.
Mr. Schultz is
survived by four children: Mrs. Lulu Lund of Richland, Minn., Leonard Schultz of
Rt. 2 Neillsville, Mrs. George (Ila) Erickson of Rt. 1 Neillsville and Elmer
Schultz of Rt. 2 Granton. Other survivors include 16 grandchildren and eight
great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were: Victor Lautenbach, Art Steel,
Hubert Dudei, Victor Braatz, John Pannebecker and Everett Handt. Ellis Wall,
soloist, sang, “Saved by Grace” and “Sun of my Soul”, accompanied by Mrs. Jess
W. Scott.
People from out of town attending the funeral included: Mrs.
Lulu Lund, of Richland, Minn.; Duane and Douglas Lund of Minneapolis, Minn.;
Markus Schultz of Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Milton Erickson and family of
Danville, Ill.
