Neillsville Locals (3 April 1969)

Mr. and Mrs. Bob Bell and family visited Friday evening at the Kermit Bell home. Also present were Mr. and Mrs. Roy Schaver of Waukegan, Ill. Saturday afternoon Linda Bell entertained 13 classmates in honor of her birthday.

 Mr. and Mrs. Tom Tibbett and family were Saturday evening guests.

Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Bohnsack and family, called at the Bob Bell home Sunday afternoon and were supper guests. Sunday evening guests were Mr. and Mrs. Kermit Bell and their guests, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Schaver.

Mr. and Mrs. William Boller and family of Wausau spent the weekend visiting her father, Henry Wasserburger.

Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Bauer and family visited Saturday afternoon in Wisconsin Rapids with Mrs. Bauer’s sister, Mrs. Robert Robinson, and family.

Mr. and Mrs. Garald Hart drove to Durand Sunday, where they met his brother and wife Mr. and Mrs. Vern Hart, of Northfield, Minn. Together they celebrated March birthdays of several members of the Hart family. Also attending were Mr. and Mrs. Willie George and three sons of Sparta; and Mr. and Mrs. Larry Hart of Eau Claire.

Dr. and Mrs. Donn Mueller of St. Louis, Mo., spent the weekend visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bergen Smith. They were accompanied home by their two children, who had spent the last three weeks with their grandparents. Dr. and Mrs. Mueller flew in their private plane as far as Marshfield.

Dr. and Mrs. Robert D. peters and children spent the weekend in Madison with Mrs. Peter’s brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Goller, and family.

Mr. and Mrs. P. L. Volkert of Reeseville are expected to be weekend guests of their daughter, Mrs. Robert D. Peters, and family, and plan to attend the confirmation of their granddaughter, Mary, Sunday.

Clarence Stelloh of Shorewood is visiting his mother, Mrs. Fred Stelloh, for a few days. Tuesday, Mrs. Stelloh entertained Clarence, Mr. and Mrs. Art Wegner, and Mrs. Dan Gluch for dinner in honor of her birthday. Callers that day were Mrs. Doris Struble, Mr. and Mrs. Thaddeus Zajac and Mr. and Mrs. David Boock and daughter of Black River Falls.

Mrs. Alice Herman of Appleton and Miss Thelma Olson of Neenah were weekend guests of Miss Estelle Krejci. They also visited Mrs. Emma Hemp and Miss Grace Lezotte, both residents of Memorial Home.

Mrs. Otto May, who spent most of the winter in Milwaukee with her sons, has returned to her home north of Neillsville.

Judge George Frantz of Fennimore was in Neillsville one day last week on business and called at the Anna Frantz home.

Mr. and Mrs. Warren Hake, Dale Hake and Mrs. Anna Frantz visited Mrs. Frantz’s cousin, Mrs. Walter Nix in Minocqua Saturday.

Mrs. Warren hake was hostess to her sheepshead card club Tuesday afternoon.

Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Olson drove to Ashland Saturday afternoon taking their daughter, Augie Jo, to do practice teaching in home economics in the Ashland School system.
