Mary Sorenson (9 Jun 1887 - 5 Jun 1958)

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Sorenson, widow of Hans Sorenson, were held Monday at Mt. Morris, Michigan. Mrs. Sorenson who had resided at Mt. Morris the past 35 years, would have been 71 the day she was buried. She had been ill two years with cancer and died the morning of June 5 at her home.

Attending the funeral rites from here were her sister, Mrs. Sarah Kronschnabl, and family, Ceal, Milton, Max, Jerome, and Mrs. Clifford Herman and Joey, and Miss Rose Kronschnabl from Lake Linden, Mich.

Mary Fritsch was born near Brillion, June 9, 1887. She and Hans Sorenson for many years after their marriage resided in this village (Dorchester, Clark Co., WI), where he was in the meat business with his brother Andrew, and later engaged in carpentry. They built the present Richard Schreiber home where they lived before moving to Mt. Morris.

Surviving are six sons, two daughters, and a number of grandchildren. Other survivors include her sister, Mrs. Kronschnabl, and a brother, Anton Fritsch, both of this village.
