Funeral services for Edgar E. Andrews of R. 1, Gilman, Wis., were held
Thursday at 2 p.m. at the Gilman Funeral Home, Rev. John Koch of Cornell,
officiating. Graveside services were conducted by the American Legion at
Riverside Cemetery (near the Black River), Withee, Wis., where he was laid to
rest.
He was a veteran of World War I. Mr. Andrews was born Oct. 14, 1889
at Wheeler, Wis., and died Feb. 13, 1965 of exposure and exhaustion at Deer Lake
in Sawyer Co., Wis.

On Feb. 2, 1916 he was married to Leona Christiansen at Minneapolis, Minn.
After their marriage they lived on a farm 5 1/2 miles south of Thorp for several
years. Later they moved to Corona, Calif., where he owned and operated a store
for several years.
He liked the sport of fishing and hunting, so in 1930
they returned to Wisconsin and bought a 120 acre farm 6 1/2 miles west of Gilman
where he spent the rest of his life.
He is survived by his wife Leona;
two brothers, Leonard of Lublin, Wis., and Robert of Wheeler, Wis.; three
sisters, Mrs. Blanche Lake of Seattle, Wash., Mrs. Agnes Schmidt of Prairie
City, Iowa, and Mrs. Gertrude Gulczynski of Thorp, Wis.
