On Friday afternoon at about
five o’clock Albert Johnson, who lives about 5 miles west of town met instant
death by being thrown from a load of wood. As he was going down the hill near
Mr. Bonnots, the sleigh struck a hole in the road causing chain to break and
throwing Mr. Johnson off. The wood fell on him breaking his neck. He leaves a
wife and two children.
The funeral was held Monday afternoon at their
home.
