Winn, Byrl F. (17 April 1888 - 3 March 1969)
Memorial services will be held for Byrl F. Winn Saturday, April 12, at 2:30 p.m.
from the United Methodist Church on Garfield Street, Wisconsin Rapids.
Mr. Winn died March 3, 1969, in a West Palm Beach Hospital, near Jupiter, Fla.,
where Mr. and Mrs. Winn were spending the winter. They had made their home in
Wisconsin Rapids since moving there from Granton in 1931. He had been engaged in
the grain and implement business in Granton since 1912. He was active in
community affairs at Granton, having served as village treasurer for many years,
and helped organize the Methodist Church there.
E was born April 17,
1888, on a farm near York Center, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Webster M.
Winn, who were pioneer farmers in Clark County. He married Lela Potter in
Wisconsin Rapids, June 1, 1915. She survives. Other survivors include a
daughter, Mrs. John Murgatroyd, and a son, Monroe Winn, both of Wisconsin
Rapids; a son, Arthur Winn, of Poulsbo, Wash.; a sister, Mrs. Paul Finner of
Tallahassee, Fla.; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Mr. Winn
was a member of the united Methodist Church in Wisconsin Rapids, the Masonic
Lodge No. 128, F. & A.M., Zor Shrine and Valley Consistory of Eau Claire.
