Mr.
and Mrs. Alan Naedler have taken possession of the Frank Gutman farm of 337
acres, located south of Neillsville on Highway 73, which they recently
purchased. They plan to operate it along with the 200 acres of the home farm.
The Naedlers are in the process of moving into the old Hansen house on the
Gutman farm, and Mr. Naedler’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hilbert C. Naedler, are
planning to return to their farm home from their present location on Oak Street
in Neillsville.
The last of a series of card parties was held Sunday
evening in St. Mary’s Catholic parish hall. Prizes were merited by Alma
Hainzelsperger and Frank Hoeser in sheepshead; Mrs. William Hughes and Linus
Prock in 500; Mrs. Bahri O. Gungor and Garth Jensen. A lunch was served by Mr.
and Mrs. Walter Larsen and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Burr.
Mr. and Mrs. Arne
Matheson of Waukesha returned home Monday after being guests since last Friday
of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Evanson. Guests of Mr. and Mrs. Evanson
Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Orville Evanson and son of Wausau. Roland Evanson of
Wausau called there Saturday.
Debra, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fritz
Seelow of Neillsville, who was confirmed Sunday in St. John’s Evangelical
Lutheran Church by the Rev. Norman Lindloff, was honored at a dinner given by
her parents. Guests were Mrs. Eva DeMert, Mr. and Mrs. William Seelow, Sr., Mr.
and Mrs. Herman Carl and two sons, Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Erickson and children,
and Mr. and Mrs. Russell Seelow and children, all of Neillsville; Mr. and Mrs.
Leon Schnabel and Diane and Don of the Town of York; Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Kirn
and two children of Loyal; Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Sisson and three children of West
Allis; Mr. and Mrs. Terry Snyder and two children of Milwaukee; and Mr. and Mrs.
Dick Harrington and two boys of Milwaukee.
