Sydorowicz, Nicholas James (21 August 1933 - 12
April 1969)
Funeral services for Nicholas Sydorowicz, 35, of Milwaukee
and formerly of Neillsville, who was killed in a two-car crash on the Illinois
Tollway near Zion about 2:10 a.m. Saturday, were held Wednesday at 10 a.m. from
the St. Mary’s Catholic Church. The Rev. George M. Nelson officiated. His
brother, Frank, who was riding with him, was reported in fair condition in a
Zion hospital.
It has been learned here that Sydorowicz was traveling
north when the other car, driven by an Illinois man, crossed over the median
strip from the opposite traffic lanes and collided head-on with the Sydorowicz
auto. The driver of the other car died shortly after the accident.
The
body of Mr. Sydorowicz was brought to the Georgas Funeral Home in Neillsville.
Nicholas James Sydorowicz was born August 21, 1933, in Neillsville, to
the late Nicholas Sydorowicz and Pauline (Gaska) Sydorowicz of Rt. 2
Neillsville. He received his education here, and graduated from Neillsville High
School in 1952. His marriage to the former Elizabeth Trogner took place at St.
Mary’s Catholic Church of this city, September 15, 1956. He had been employed at
the Milwaukee Ger Company for the last four years.
Besides his mother,
Sydorowicz is survived by his wife, Elizabeth, two daughters, Donna and
Christine; two sons, Stephen and Mark, all at home; a sister, Mrs. Chris
(Monica) Ranchau of Milwaukee; and four brothers, Victor of Neillsville, Frank
and Peter of Milwaukee, and Charles of Menomonee Falls.
He was a member
of the Bernadette’s Catholic Church of Milwaukee.
A rosary was held
Tuesday evening at the Georgas Funeral Home. Burial was made in St. Mary’s
Cemetery.
