Mrs. Olive Newman arrived
Friday from Milwaukee to visit her sister, Mrs. Alice Perkins and other
relatives.
Mr. and Mrs. Donald Wells were guests Sunday at the William
Horn home in Loyal.
Mrs. Jake Speich and daughter, Violet, and Mrs. Rose
Ludwig were guests Sunday at the Donald Speich home in Eau Claire.
Mr.
and Mrs. Arno Vater of Withee were guests Sunday at the home of Mrs. Alice
Speich.
Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Pernic of Chicago spent several days with
her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Kebl.
Mr. and Mrs. Godfrey Dyre and
daughters, Margie and Jane, spent several days with the Joe Lamonica family in
Rolling Meadows, Ill.
Guests last week at the Otto Voie home were Mr. and
Mrs. Emory Voie and daughter, Karla, Mr. and Mrs. Edmund Wiegert and Mrs.
Richard Kintzler of Fond du Lac and Mrs. Robert Grams of Milwaukee.
Relatives have received word that Mrs. Fred Robbins, the former Ruth Toburen, is
a patient at St. Mary’s Hospital in Minneapolis, Minn., following a heart
attack.
Mrs. Gus Horn returned Saturday after spending a week in Prairie
du Sc at the A. E. Stanke home.
Mr. and Mrs. Erwin Toburen spent a week
in Chicago with is sister, Mrs. John Goger, and family.
Mr. and Mrs.
Dennis Luedke of Madison spent from Sunday until Wednesday with her grandmother,
Mrs. Gus Horn.
Mr. and Mrs. James Metzke and children spent Sunday at the
Louis Ziegler and Robert Seif homes near Neillsville.
Mr. and Mrs.
William Kuester and daughter, Loretta, and Mr. and Mrs. Leon Kuester and
daughter, Delores, were guests Sunday at the Douglas Luther home in Junction
City.
Mr. and Mrs. Lester Abel and children, Mark and Kay, of Kaukauna
were dinner guests Sunday at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Theodore
Abel.
Mrs. Frank Klancher and son, James, and Mrs. Anna Richter of
Milwaukee visited Sunday at the Myron Kenyon home and with other friends.
Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Stewart spent several days at the Everett Humke home in
Rochester, Minn.
Mr. and Mrs. Roger Standiford and family have returned
to Bensenville, Ill., after visiting their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence
Liebzeit and Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Standiford.
The Women’s Guild met
Wednesday afternoon in Immanuel United Church. Mrs. Henry Vollrath presided.
Hostesses were Mrs. Walter Schwarze and Mrs. Emil Noah. Devotions were led by
Mrs. Phillip Vollrath. The lesson was given by the Rev. David Logue. The group
will sponsor the annual mother-daughter banquet at the church Saturday, May 10.
Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Ystad have returned after a two-week trip to the west
coast, where they visited their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Neil
Ystad, at Puyallup, Wash.
Mrs. Olive Newman and Mrs. Alice Perkins were
guests Tuesday at the home of their brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs.
Adolph Wolske, in Abbotsford.
Mrs. Walter Swieso accompanied Mr. and Mrs.
Leonard Thiede and daughter, Roxanne, to Columbus Saturday, where they attended
the funeral of a relative, Leona rd Herzberg. Mrs. Ray Gorth and daughter,
Phyllis, of Spencer accompanied the Thiede’s to Madison, where they visited
their husband and father, who is a patient at the Veteran’s Hospital.
Mr.
and Mrs. Lee Cook and family returned to New Berlin after visiting her parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Liebzeit, and relatives in Loyal.
Mrs. Lee Corey
is spending two weeks in Brandon, S. D., with Mr. and Mrs. Jack Corey and
family.
Mr. and Mrs. Donald Wells were guests Sunday at the William Horn
home in Loyal.
Dinner and supper guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
Donald Kirn Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Louis Matkovich of Willard, Mr. and Mrs.
Nick Matkovich and son of Owen, Mrs. Robert Matkovich and Mary Kay of Milwaukee
and Mrs. Theresa Matkovich.
Mrs. Robert Matkovich and Mary Kay of
Milwaukee spent the weekend here with their husband and father.
Easter
day guests of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Tolaney, Jr., were Mr. and Mrs. Frank Wilhelm and
family, Mr. and Mrs. William Horvat and family of Milwaukee, Mr. and Mrs. Dick
St. John and Mr. and Mrs. Valentine St. John of Neillsville, and Mr. and Mrs.
Bernard Walker.
Dinner guests Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy
Kesler were Mr. and Mrs. Frank Wilhelm and family of Milwaukee, Mr. and Mrs. Joe
Tolaney, Sr., Mr. and Mrs. Joe Tolaney, Jr., and son, Timothy, Mrs. mary Horvat
and Mr. and Mrs. William Horvat and family.

Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Krapf, Sr.: Mr. and Mrs. Charles
Krapf, Jr., Sandy and Rochelle, of Milwaukee, Mr. and Mrs. Duane Patridge,
Kristine and David, of Schofield, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Zorman and Ann Marie of
Loyal.
Gregory Scott, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. William Lucas, was
baptized Easter Sunday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Globe by the Rev. Robert
Bitter. Sponsors were Mr. and Mrs. Robert Briski. Dinner guests were the
sponsors, and Mr. and Mrs. William Genteman, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Schafer of
Neillsville, Mrs. Irja Lucas and Mr. and Mrs. David Berlick of Marshfield.
