Roder, Gertrude
(21 FEB 1899 – 13 MAR 1965)
Mrs. Carl Roder, 66, Loyal, died of a heart attack at her home at 3:45 p.m.
Saturday, March 13.
Funeral services were held Tuesday morning, 10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic
Church with Father Norbert E. King officiating.
Myre Funeral Home was in charge of funeral arrangements.
Mrs. Roder, the former Gertrude Hauser, was born at Hewitt on February21, 1899.
She received her education at the Catholic school in Hewitt.
At the age of 4 she moved to Christie with her parents and six years
later moved to Neillsville. After
her marriage to Carl Roder on June 16, 1936, the couple lived in Neillsville
until 1943 when they then moved to Milwaukee.
In 1945 they left Milwaukee and moved to Loyal.
She was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church and St. Mary’s Altar
Society.
Survivors include her husband and one daughter, Margaret, at home.
She is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. John (Christine) Schmidt, and Mrs. Ed
(Othelia) Rogstad of Loyal.
A brother and sister preceded her in death.
