Henseler, Jacob X. (05 AUG 1880 – 26 MAR 1965)

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church on Monday, March 29 for Jacob X. Henseler Sr., 84, Loyal, who passed away at his home at 3 a.m. on Friday, March 26.

Rev. A.M. Moldenhauer officiated at the services.  Rev. Moldenhauer sang “Abide With Me” and Mrs. Verland Dux and Mrs. Erwin Dux sang “Nearer My God To Thee,” accompanied at the organ by Mrs. John A. Olsen.

Active pallbearers were Norman Luchterhand, William Seeman, Arthur Schuette, Albert Witt, Ferdinand Gotter, and George Dahl.

Burial was made in the Loyal Cemetery.

Mr. Henseler was born August 5, 1880, in Switzerland, and was married there in May, 1903 to Katherine Witter.  In 1907 they came to the United States and settled in Oconomowoc where they resided until 1919, when they came to Clark County.  He had farmed here and later operated the North Star Cheese Factory, south of Loyal, until his retirement in 1932, when they moved to the city of Loyal.

Mr. Henseler was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and at one time had served as a member of the church board.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Jake Jr., Loyal; three daughters, Miss Katharine Henseler, Loyal; Mrs. Arthur (Rose) Genenz, Evanston, Illinois; and Mrs. John )Elsie) Steiner, Milwaukee; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by four brothers and a sister.

Out-of-town people attending the funeral were:  Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Genenz, Evanston, Illinois; Mr. and Mrs. John Steiner, Milwaukee; Neil Steiner, Waverly, Iowa; Mr. Allen Wuethrich, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Hohl, Mrs. Anita Miller, Greenwood; Mrs. Elsbeth Wahlen, Madison; Mrs. Ed Witt, LaCrosse; Mr. and Mrs. Bill Reizner, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Greeler, Neillsville; Mr. and Mrs. Kasper VonHolzin, Mrs. Dollie Vick, Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Ringquist, Mrs. Mildred Meachem, Spencer and many other friends from Loyal and the surrounding area.
