Taylor, Flora
(07 OCT 1870 – 15 APR 1965)
Word was received of the death of Mrs. Flora Taylor, 95, formerly of Loyal,
widow of Clarence M. Taylor. She
died Thursday, April 15, at the home of her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Dorothy
Taylor, Evergreen Park, Illinois.
She has been living with her daughter-in-law for some time.
Mrs. Taylor died of old age complications and was buried at Evergreen Park
Cemetery on Saturday, April 17.
Mr. Taylor preceded his wife in death on June 15, 1937.
Mr. and Mrs. Taylor were former residents of Loyal and operated a furniture
store and undertaking parlor where the Mills Clothing Store is now located.
Mrs. Taylor assisted her husband in the undertaking business.
Mr. Taylor also set up the first telephone system in Loyal with the switchboard
in their store.
Mrs. Taylor was a very active member of the Loyal Methodist Church and a member
of the Royal Neighbors of America while she lived here.
Her only son Charles preceded her in death also.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Dorothy Taylor and a granddaughter
and grandson.
