Klimmer, Margaret (04 APR 1875 – 13 JUL 1965)

Mrs. Margaret Klimmer, age 90, of Loyal died at 4:30 a.m., Tuesday at Memorial Hospital, Neillsville, where she had been a patient since Saturday.  Cause of death was old age complications.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Loyal.  The Very Rev. Norbert E. King will officiate and burial will be made in the parish cemetery.

The body will lie in state at the Myre Funeral Home beginning Wednesday morning.

The former Margaret Bauer was born April 4, 1875 in Calumet County and at the age of six came to the Loyal area with her parents.  Her marriage to Frank Klimmer took place November 9, 1892 in the Old Log Church at Pelsdorf south east of Loyal.  The couple farmed south east of Loyal until 1942 except for a period from 1904 to 1908 when they lived in Loyal and her husband operated a dray line.  In 1942 they moved to the city of Loyal.

Mrs. Klimmer was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church and St. Mary’s Alter Society.

Her husband preceded her in death in 1944.  She is survived by two sons and two daughters, Anton, Loyal; Arthur, Battle Creek, Michigan; Mrs. Everett (Anita) Herdrich, Loyal and Eva Riggin, Milwaukee; and eight grandchildren and twenty one great-grandchildren; and on sister, Mrs. Katherine Young, West Linn, Oregon.

She was preceded in death by sis brothers and five sisters.
