Edward G.
Greer, 66, died at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, Wis. March 4, 1965 after a
brief illness.
He was born Dec. 13, 1896 to Dr. and Mrs. John Greer in
Lafayette County, Mo.
He was a resident of the town of Butler (Clark Co.,
Wis.) for about thirty-four years, and held the office of Town Clerk
twenty-seven years.
On June 11, 1953 he was married to Mary Lee.
Survivors include his wife, three stepsons, Leonard of Eau Claire, Walter and
Robert of Milwaukee, ten step-grandchildren; four sister, Mrs. Elizabeth
Makovky, Chicago, Ill.; Mrs. Nannubell Arth, Albuquerque, N.M.; Mrs. Elmeda
Marshall, Houston, Texas; Mrs. Janie Dawdy, St. Louis, Mo.; three brothers, John
and James, Kansas City, Mo.; and Elton of Los Gatos, Calif.
He was
preceded in death by his first wife, June 24, 1951.
Funeral services were
held Saturday, March 6th at 2 p.m. at Thorp Funeral Home, Rev. Fred Schultz
officiating. Burial was in the Butler Cemetery.
