SOUTH SPENCER

Willard Hanson, of Chicago spent the week end with his parents, Mr.
and Mrs. George Hanson and sister Violet and helped Mr. Hanson celebrate his
birthday. He returned to Chicago Sunday afternoon.
A letter received from
Peru, Illinois tells of 56 fox being killed from an airplane in the vicinity
north of LaSalle, Ill., around and near the Vermillion River. The fox were
photographed Monday, Feb. 7. LaSalle is just east of Peru and the two are called
the twin cities.
A number of friends and neighbors surprised Mr. Albert
Adams Monday evening when they came to help him celebrate his birthday. The
evening was spent socially and a lunch which was furnished by the ladies of the
group, was served.
Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Lynn and sons of Unity were last
Sunday visitors at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Greening.
Wednesday evening visitors at the same home were Mr. and Mrs. Lavern Hein and
daughter Lida Lou.
