Charles Davel was born at Two Rivers, Wisconsin in 1877 and was married to Miss Anna Christiansen at Neillsville on September 2, 1903.

He received his education in the Spencer public school. At one time he owned a saw mill in Loyal, also a dairy route; he had charge of the skating rink and was in the ice business all in the past 25 years. In all he lived in Loyal 48 years.

He is survived by his wife, two children, Harold J., a teacher in the Waukesha school and a daughter, (Anita) Mrs. Herbert Fenner of Loyal; four grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

Three brothers also survive, Albert, of Loyal; John of Spencer and George of Stratford. One brother, Joe Davel of Loyal, preceded him in death.
