Clark Laid To Rest
Funeral services for William W. Clark were held last
Wednesday afternoon at the Methodist church at 2:30 o’clock. The Rev Raymond J.
Fleming officiated with burial in the West Spencer cemetery.
Mr. and Mrs.
Clark moved to Spencer in 1900 from Cascade and settled on a farm east of the
village and a few years later they purchased a farm a half mile south of here
where they resided for 20 years. Because of poor health, he retired from farming
and lived in the village until 1944 when he and Mrs. Clark went to Milwaukee to
live with their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Charels [Charles] Thomas.
The Clarks observed their golden wedding in 1946. Mr. Clark was a director of
the Spencer school Board for a number of years.

friends attending the funeral were Mrs. Harvey Liebenstein and son Wesley, and
