William
Clark Passes Away
William Wyat Clark, 75, a resident of Spencer for 45
years before leaving for Milwaukee five years ago, died Sunday night at Racine
while visiting at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Albert Borth. He had been making
his home in Milwaukee with another daughter, Mrs. Charles Thomas.
The
body arrived in Junction City Tuesday evening and was taken to the Swarthout
Funeral Home where it lie in state until 11:00 a.m. Wednesday when it was taken
to the Methodist Church to lie in state until the time of the funeral which was
at 2:30 o’clock Wednesday afternoon.
The Rev. Raymond J. Fleming
officiated at the services and Masonic rites were conducted. He was a member of
the Masonic Lodge No 224, Free and Accepted Masons, Blue Lodge. He also was a
member of the Spencer Methodist Church.
He was born in the Town of
Mitchell, Sheboygan County, November 28, 1873. Surviving are his widow, Anna,
his two daughters; a brother, George, Lyon, Colo.; and a sister Mrs. Harvey
Liebenstein, Cascade. Also surviving are two grandsons, Mark and William Borth.
Pallbearers were H. C. Stewart, F. V. McIlhattan, George Hayward, Spence
Graves, August Tesmer and Harry Bodel.
Interment was made in the West
Spencer cemetery.
