Carl F. Neuman Passes Away

Carl F. Neuman, 65, passed away at his home here at 11:55 p.m. Sunday. Death followed a year’s illness.

The body was taken to the Swarthout Fuenral Home and lay in state there until 1:30 p.m. Wednesday when funeral services were held there followed at 2 o’clock by services at Trinity Lutheran Church. The Rev. H. C. Hinz conducted the rites and interment was in the St. John’s cemetery.

Carl Frank Neuman was born in the Town of Unity, Clark County, January [13 or 18], 1884, and was married at St. John’s Lutheran Church June 3, 1909, to Ida Toltzman at Spencer. He had engaged in farming until retiring 10 years ago.

He is survived by his widow, two sons, Albert, Marshfield; and Herman, Spencer; a daughter, Mrs. Maurice (Esther) Anderson, Spencer; a brother Frank, Spencer, a sister, Mrs. Herman (Ida) Seefeldt, Spencer, and eight grandchildren.

He is also survived by his stepmother, Mrs. Louise Neuman of Clintonville.

Preceding him in death were a son Carl Jr., his parents, a brother Herman and two sisters in infancy.
