Silver Wedding Anniversary
Relatives
bringing well filled baskets, gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Munson
Vanderhoof Sunday, March 20th, to help them celebrate their Silver wedding which
was on March 21, 1948.
The afternoon was spent visiting and playing cards
and at five o’clock a cafeteria supper was served by the self invited guests.
A beautiful wedding cake, a gift of their daughter, Mrs. Russell Gehrke,
decorated the table and they received cards and a gift of silver from those
present.
Mr. and Mrs. Vanderhoof were married at the Veefkind Lutheran
Church on March 21, 1923. They have lived in this vicinity all of their married
life. The past two years they resided in the village.
They have five
children, L[unreadable]ena, (Mrs Russell Gehrke), Albert, in the armed service,
Janet, Muson [Munson?], Jr., and Robert all at home.
Those present Sunday
were Mr. and Mrs. Albert Mellenthin, Mr. and Mrs. Russell Gehrke, Mr. and Mrs.
Julius Schroeder, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Schroeder and family, Mr. and Mrs. Walter
Krahn and family, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Luepke and family, Mr. and Mrs. Gordon
Mellenthin and sons and Ward Vanderhoof.
The guests departed later that
evening wishing Mr. and Mrs. Vanderhoof many happy returns of the day.
