Mrs. A. Phillips Passes Away
After a lingering illness
Mrs. Alfred Phillips, 78, passed away at 4:20 p.m. Saturday, May 14th at the
home of her son, Gordon, 309 N. Vine St. Marshfield where she had been removed
from the hospital. She had undergone an emergency operation at the hospital
Friday, April 15, and due to the fact that she had suffered diabetes for the
past 13 years, all medical care and the loving care of her family could do, was
not enough. God took her home with him to a well earned rest.

home.

two sisters are dead.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2
o’clock at the Methodist Church, the Rev. R. J. Fleming officiating. Burial was
made in the West Spencer cemetery. The body was taken to the Swarthout Funeral
Home where it remained until 11 a. m. Tuesday when it was taken to the church to

they would not wish her back to undergo the pain and suffering through which she
has passed.
