Greening, Dorothy Elaine (1949)

Konop-Greening

Saturday, morning, May 28, at 10 o’clock at St. John’s Catholic Church, Marshfield, occurred the wedding of Miss Dorothy Elaine Greening, Spencer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Greening, and Arnold Paul Konop, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Konop, Auburndale. Rev. Michael J. Keinhofer was officiating clergyman.

The bride was attired in a white ninon gown with fitted bodice, full skirt with a long laced edged train. Her long fingertip veil was lace edged with seed pearls forming the headpiece. She carried a cascade bouquet of roses, sweet peas, carnations & white lilys [sic].

Miss Agnes Konop, Minneapolis, as matron of honor, wore a yellow organdy gown with matching veil and a wreath for a headdress. Miss Lois Greening, Spencer, as bridesmaid, wore a lilac marquisette gown with matching wreath and veil. Both young ladies carried bouquet of carnations, sweet peas and roses.

Raymond Kundinger, Auburndale was best man and Miss Beverly Griener, Auburndale was flower girl.

A dinner was served at the home of the bride’s parents at 11:30 with a reception there at 6 o’clock for about 60 guests. Streamers of lilac, pink and white decorated the living room and dining room of the home.

Mrs. Konop has been employed in the Shoe Factory in the city of Marshfield and the groom is engaged in farming at Auburndale where they will make their home.

The Record joins their many local friends in extending congratulations and best wishes for a long and happy wedded life.
