Wasserberger, Alice E. (3 March
1901- 5 May 1969)
Mrs. Alice E. Wasserberger, 68, of Neillsville, died
Monday morning at the Memorial Hospital. Funeral services were held from the
Calvary Lutheran Church, Wednesday at 1:30 p.m., with the Ref. E. G. Burtness,
officiating.
Mrs. Wasserberger, the former Alice Haugen, was born March
3, 1901, in Chippewa County, Minn., the daughter of Paul and Kaia (Leines)
Haugen. She received her education at Park Region College, Fergus Falls, Minn.,
and State School of Science, in North Dakota. She did clerical work at the
Farmers Store for many years, and later was associated with her late husband in
the real estate business. Recently she had been employed in the office of the
city clerk.
On September 18, 1937, she was married in Neillsville to
Harry Wasserberger, who died March 31, 1967. Mrs. Wasserberger was a member of
Calvary Lutheran Church, the V. F. W. Auxiliary, and the O. E. S. Carmi Chapter
No 60.
Survivors include her mother, Mrs. Paul Haugen; two sisters, Mrs.
Addie Ludovic, and Mrs. Cecil (Muriel) Beede of Eau Claire, a brother, Hiram
Haugen of Neillsville.
The Georgas Funeral Home was in charge of
arrangements. Burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.
