lace fashioned the bride’s floor length gown. Long, tapered sleeves and a
sweetheart neckline styled a fitted bodice which secured the detachable tubular
train, was enhance with lace motif. A cluster of lace petals, outlined in
pearls, secured her bouffant veil of bridal illusion. She carried a lace-covered
Bible topped by a white orchid and lily-of-the-valley.
Mary Finnila,
sister of the bride was made-of-honor, and Sylvia Balts of Eau Claire, cousin of
the bride, was bridesmaid. They chose floor-length gowns of yellow and of Aqua
linen, in an A-line silhouette-Venice lace detailed their demi-raised waists. A
tulle cluster of petals with miniature daisies completed their ensemble. Each
carried a carnation tipped with a color to match her dress.
Roger Wojt of
Eau Claire served his cousin as bestman, and Dave Balts of Chetek, cousin of the
bride, was groomsman. The ushers and candle lighters were Jim Wojt of Eau Claire
and Jim Kohnhorst of Wausau.
Billy Balts of Chetek was the ringbearer,
and Annette Blum of Austin, Minn., was flowergirl.
Mrs. Darrel Bush of
Tomahawk accompanied Dave Schroeder of Greenwood as he sang, “Together with
Jesus,” and “Faith for the other.”
A reception for 250 guests was held in
the Nazareth Lutheran parish hall, Withee, which was decorated with streamers of
the wedding colors and wedding bells. Following a wedding trip into northern
Wisconsin and Michigan, the couple will reside at 524 E. 3rd St. in Owen.
