Willard (15 May 1969)
A daughter, Kristi Lynn, was born May 5, to Mr.
and Mrs. William Jordan of Minneapolis, Minn. Paternal grandparents are Mr. and
Mrs. Ludwig Jordan of Willard. Maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Arnold
Sears, Minneapolis.
Mr. and Mrs. Anton Gosar and Mrs. Mary Gosar visited
last Tuesday at the Marshfield hospital with Bruce Stanley of Granton, Tony
Fortuna and Frank Pekol.
Anton Trunkel was moved recently from the
hospital to the Marshfield convalescent Center.
Mr. and Mrs. Anton Gosar
and children, Valentine and Margaret, and Mrs. Mary Gosar visited Mr. and Mrs.
Alton Shaw in Marshfield last Tuesday and were dinner guests. They helped
Theresa Shaw celebrate her sixth birthday. Mrs. Mary Gosar also visited Mrs. Ray
Shaw.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Zimmer and family of Indiana spent the weekend
with her father, Anton Fortuna, at the Marshfield hospital.
Mr. and Mrs.
Robert Pernic and children of Mundelein, Ill., were weekend guests of their
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Horn and Mr. and Mrs. John Pernic.
Rain and
hail came to our community off and on for about three days in a row.
Friends and relatives helped Joan Baltus celebrate her 12th birthday Saturday
night at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Baltus. Mrs. Victor
Halbrader made and decorated the birthday cake. A lunch was served, followed by
a social hour.
Sunday dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank
Pozega were Ernie Olson of Chicago, Ill., Ronald Olson and children, Cheryl,
Lisa, Dough and Michelle, and Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Knute, all of Fairchild.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Machan of Lyons, Ill., spent from Thursday until Monday
at their cabin in the Tioga area and with relatives there and in the Gorman
area.
Mr. and Mrs. Emil Podobnik have returned from Milwaukee, where they
visited relatives.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Pakiz, Mr. and Mrs. Alfonse
Volovsek and Mr. and Mrs. Hank Neilsen spent Saturday and Sunday at Austin,
where the men took part in the singing festival.
