Bolf,
Catherine (12 April 1891 - 16 May 1969)
Mrs. Catherine Bolf, 78, of Owen
and formerly of Greenwood, died Friday at the hospital in Marshfield, where she
was admitted that day following a stroke.
Mrs. Bolf, the former Catherine
Briski, was born April 12, 1891, in Yugoslavia. She was married in 1916 to
Matthew Bolf. He died March 15, 1950. They came to the United States in 1920 and
lived in Gallup, N. M., until 1932, when they came to Greenwood and settled on a
farm northwest of here.
She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. William
(Mary) Mickett of Greenwood, Mrs. Robert (Catherine) Becker of Mora, Minn., Mrs.
Harry (Annie) Nalezny of Chicago, Ill, and Mrs. William (Delores) Benzschawel of
Owen; four sons, Mike and Anton of Greenwood, Matthew and john of Hanover Park,
Ill.; 31 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were
held Monday from St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greenwood. The Rev. Leander
Koopman officiated. Burial was made in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Pallbearers
were: Thomas Lauksmen, Dennis Bolf, Roger Bolf, Ronald Becker, William Mickett
and Robert Mickett.
