Nauertz, Carol Marie (Marriage - 17 May 1969)
Miss Carol Marie Nauertz, daughter of Mrs. Alice Nauertz of Neillsville,
became the bride of Donald John Boon, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Boon of Rt. 1
Greenwood, May 17, at 2 p.m. in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Neillsville. The
Rev. George M. Nelson performed the double-ring ceremony in the presence of 230
guests.
The bride was attired in a white gown of silk organza that
featured a mandarin collar, demi-raised waist and long, full, gathered cuffed
sleeves. Satin spiral lace trimmed the collar, waist, sleeves, and the front of
the A-line dress. A train was enhanced with lace motif, and a bridal illusion
veil was attached to her headpiece. Her bouquet consisted of stephanotis
entwined with ivy.
Mrs. Kenneth Burr was matron-of-honor. Bridesmaid was
Lois Boon. Their gowns were of light pink chiffon over taffeta, with long, sheer
sleeves gathered to a cuff. Daisy flower braid trimmed the cuffs, demi-raised
waists and necklines. Their head pieces consisted of deep pink velvet bows with
daisy trim. Each carried a colonial bouquet of daisies and baby breath.
Harold Boon served his brother as bestman, and Gary Nauertz, brother of the
bride, was groomsman. Larry Nauertz and Alan Boon were ushers.
Robert
Boon, another brother of the groom, was ringbearer; and Lisa Zickert, niece of
the bride, was flowergirl. She wore a dress identical to that of the bride, with
a daisy headpiece. She carried a basket of daisies.
Sister Elise presided
at the organ and Kathy Bauer sang.
A reception, dinner and dance were
held at a local supper club for 230 guests.
Mrs. Boon is a graduate of
Neillsville High School and is employed as a secretary by a local auto agency.
Mr. Boon also is a graduate of Neillsville High School, is working with his
father’s construction company. The couple will reside on Rt. 1 Greenwood.
