Louis Nowak, 68, operator of a tavern at
Rt. 2, Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), died Friday night at 8 p.m. at the Legion Hall,
Thorp, Wis.
The Rev. Rudolph Urbic conducted funeral rites Wednesday at
10 a.m. at the Plombon Funeral Home at Stanley. Burial was in St. Mary's
Junction (Czestochowa) Cemetery.
Mr. Nowak was born in New York State and
lived in Clark County since he was a baby, with the exception of several years
spent in Chicago. He was a veteran of Army services in World War II.
Surviving are one brother, Walter, Green Bay; and two sisters, Mrs. Anna
Syryczuk, Lublin, and Mrs. Catherine Jandro, Pomona, Calif.
