Steinwagner-Bruesewitz
Miss Betty Ann Bruesewitz, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Fred H. Bruesewitz, route 2, became the bride of Herbert J. Steinwagner,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Steinwagner, route 3, Marshfield, in a ceremony
performed at St. John’s Lutheran Church at 2 o’clock Saturday afternoon, June
11. Rev. H. C. Hinz performed the double -ring ceremony.
Given in
marriage by her father, she was gowned in white marquisate over taffeta. The
fitted bodice was styled with two rows of lace, her neckline with collar and
tapering sleeves. The full skirt extended into a long train. Chantilly lace
trimmed her finger-tip veil of imported illusion which was caught to a crown of
seed pearls and orange blossoms. Her only jewelry was a double strand of pearls
given her by the groom’s parents as a graduation present. She carried a shower
bouquet of talisman roses.
Miss Beatrice Bruss, route 1, was maid of
honor in a yellow dress of marquisette over taffeta, she wore a picture hat to
match and her bouquet was of talisman roses.
Mrs. Wilmer Bruesewitz,
Riplinger, sister-in-law of the bride was bridesmaid in an orchid marquisette
gown with matching picture hat. Her bouquet was also of talisman roses.
Both attendants wore double strand pearls, a gift of the bride.
Willmer
Bruesewitz, brother of the bride, was best man. Victor Krueger, route 1, also
served the groom. Ushers were Stanley Krueger, route 1 a cousin of the bride and
Earl Krueger, another cousin of the bride.
The couple was feted at a 5
o’clock dinner in the church parlors and a reception at the home of the bride’s
parents.
Betty was graduated from the Spencer High School and has been
employed at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Her husband graduated from Marshfield High
School and is employed as a truck driver for Delmore Peterson.
The
newlyweds are making their home at present with the bride’s parents.
Guests here for the wedding from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. James Steinwagner
and daughter Marilyn, Miss Loretta Steinwagner, Mr. and Mrs. Delmore Peterson,
Mrs. Emma Wood and sons, Forest, Raymond and Frederick, and Miss Isabel
Fenhouse, Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Pember and Mr. and Mrs. Allen Pember
and daughters, Joyce, and Shirley, Arpin; Mr. and Mrs. James Durst, Hewitt; Mr.
and Mrs. George Kiesling, Rockford, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Matson and
daughters, Frances and Carol, Barron; Mrs. Elsie Behrendt and Mr. and Mrs.
Norman Behrendt, Athens; and Mr. and Mrs. Lester Henke of Wisconsin Rapids.
The Record joins their many local friends in extending congratulations and
best wishes for a long and happy wedded life.
