Orin W. Lawrence, 88, died at Memorial Home, Friday, May
23. Funeral services were held from the Georgas Funeral Home Monday at 2 p.m.
with the Rev. Lee Holmes, retired Methodist minister of Marshfield officiating.
Mr. Lawrence was born August 19, 1880, to Horace and Edna (Smithers)
Lawrence, in the York Center area, where he received his education. On November
27, 1907, he was married to Nettie Downey in Beaver Dam. They moved to Minnesota
and engaged in farming for 15 years, then returned to York and farmed until the
death of Mrs. Lawrence in November, 1942. Following this, he made his home with
his children until a year ago, when he entered Memorial home due to failing
health.
Mr. Lawrence is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Melford (Ina)
Williams and Mrs. Olive Finder, both of Neillsville, and Mrs. Walter (Fannie)
Jakobi of Marshfield; a sister, Mrs. Harmon (Floy) Huntley of Owen; 11
grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
Burial was made in the York
Center Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Lester Finder, Larry Jacobi, Orin
Williams, Chester Williams, Herbert Smith and Herbert Stolt.

Mr. and Mrs. Earl Williams and family, and Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Smith and
family, all of Milwaukee; Mr. and Mrs. Herbert and family of Rockford, Ill.; Mr.
and Mrs. G. Langfeldt, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Jacobi, Alden Lawrence, Mr. and Mrs.
Walter Jacobi, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Vandeberg and daughter, all of Marshfield;
Mr. and Mrs. Herman Karlen of Monticello; Mrs. Martha Castner, Mr. and Mrs.
Louie Walter, Mr. and Mrs. Herb Free, Mr. and Mrs. Rollie Benedict, and Mr. and
Mrs. Ray Mortimer, all of loyal; Mr. and Mrs. George Hales and Mrs. Jessie
Richmond and Denny of Granton; Mrs. John Trogner and family of Stoughton; Mrs.
Orvilla Kanzanbach of Waupun; and Mrs. and Mrs. Delbert Ferrington of Cambria.
