Wenzel Huber Laid To Rest
Funeral services
were held at the Swarthout Fuenral Home at 1:45 p. m. and at 2 p. m. at Trinity
Lutheran Church, for Wenzel Huber, 79, who passed away at his home here at 1:45
p. m. Sunday following an illness of three months. Burial was in the West
Spencer cemetery, the Rev. Randolph Mueller officiating.
Mr. Huber was
born in Czechoslovakia September 6, 1870. He was married to Amelia Stelzel at
Spencer Oct. 7, 1893. He lived here 56 years and in Neillsville for four years.
Surviving are his wife, four sons, Edward, Charles, Arthur, and Theo., all
of Spencer, and five daughters, Mrs. Martin (Freda) Hoops, Mrs. Wm. (Sophie)
Oelrich, Mrs. Raymond (Ella) Matter, and Mrs. Rudolph (Vera) Schweke, Spencer;
and Mrs. Orville (Ade) Taylor, Dorchester. There are 17 grandchildren and 10
great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers at the funeral were Frank Neumann,
Orville Matter, A. Stelzel, Wm. Luepke, Ernest Rust and Wm. Plath.
Ladies
in charge of flowers were Mrs. Anna Fredericks, Mrs. Mayme Andre, Mrs. Mary
Schultz and Mrs. Wm. Plath.
