John Anderson Passes Away
John Anderson passed away
at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield at 2:10 Wednesday afternoon, October 5th.
Mr. Anderson, 77, lived north of Spencer in the town of Brighton.
The
body lay in state of the Swarthout Funeral Home, Spencer until Saturday noon
when it was taken to the Trinity Lutheran Church at Unity where funeral services
were held at 2 o’clock with the Rev. J. A. Olson officiating. Burial took place
in the Swedish Lutheran cemetery at Unity.
Mr. Anderson was born in
Lindesberg, Sweden, December 27, 1871, and was married at Marshfield November
21, 1905 to Amelia Carlson. He was a farmer and owned several saw mills years
ago. He resided in this area the past 69 years.
Besides his widow he is
survived by four sons, Maurice, Spencer; Rudolph, Marshfield; Torganv,
Huntington Park, California; and Walter at home. His sister, Mrs. Fred Helsten,
resides at Rockford, Ill., and there are ten grandchildren.
