Wm. A. Durkee Passes Away

Wm. A. Durkee, 89, passed away at St. Joseph’s hospital, Marshfield at 7 o’clock Monday evening. He was a former Spencer resident but had been living at the Wm. Hubert home in Greenwood.

Mr. Durkee is survived by a brother Frank and a sister Mrs. Emma McVean of this community. His wife and daughter and two sisters preceded him in death.

Funeral services were held at 2 o’clock Wednesday afternoon at the Swarthout Funeral Home with the Rev. Raymond J. Fleming officiating. Burial was in the West Spencer cemetery.

Pallbearers were S. E. Graves, Wm. Hubert, Herman Seefeld, Arnold Shell, Frank Catlin and Albert Seefeld.

In charge of flowers, were Mrs. Lloyd Ringquist, Mrs. Verland Gatzs and Mrs. Fred Yaeger.
