On Wednesday, November 23 occurred the marriage of Miss Margaret J. Smith,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Smith, Marshfield and Wilbur Hoops, son of Mrs.
Elizabeth Hoops, Spencer. The ceremony took place at Trinity Lutheran Church
with the Rev. Randolph Mueller officiating.
The bride wore a navy blue
suit with gray accessories, and her corsage was composed of red roses. Mrs. John
Wry, sister of the groom, wore a aqua street dress with brown accessories and
her corsage consisted of pink roses.
The groom’s only attendant was his
brother-in-law, John Wry, who served as best man.
The bride attended high
school in Marshfield and the groom is a graduate of Spencer high school and
Central State Teachers College. He is employed at the Dairy Belt Cheese and
Butter Co., and Mrs. Hoops is employed at Consumers store in Marshfield.
After a honeymoon through the southern part of the state, they are at home here
in Spencer.
The Record joins their many local friends in extending
