Mudgett, Sandra Kay (Sowinski) (8 AUG 1948 - 21 MAR 2013)
Sandra Kay Mudgett, 64, of Maplewood, Minn., passed away on March 21, 2013
while on vacation in Palm Harbor, Florida.
Sandy was born in Wausau on
August 8, 1948 to Clement and Ione (Schoenfeldt) Sowinski. She was a graduate of
D.C. Everest High School in Weston. After high school, she attended and
graduated from Wausau Technical Institute in Wisconsin.
Sandy married
Wayne "Butch" Mudgett on September 27, 1969 in Rothschild. She worked in various
technical and managerial computer positions for Bell Laboratories in Illinois
and Unisys Corporation in Minnesota, retiring in 2005.
Sandy had a huge
heart and opened her life up to everyone. She enjoyed traveling, planting
flowers, observing nature, visiting with many friends and spending time with
family.
Sandy is survived by her husband of 43 years, 6 months, Wayne
Mudgett, Maplewood; mother, Ione Sowinski, Weston; mother-in-law, Josephine
Pink, Gilman; brothers, David (Sue) Sowinski, Rothschild, Mark (Michelle)
Sowinski, Weston; sisters, Judy (Bob) Ugoretz, Mosinee, Donna (Tim) Gosse, Terri
Sowinski and Robin Sowinski, all of Weston; brothers-in-law, Lloyd Wanta,
Weston, and Randy (Sandi) Mudgett, Holcombe; and sisters-in-law, Dianne Mudgett,
Gilman and Cindy Mudgett, Santa Maria, Calif.
Sandy was preceded in death
by her father, Clement Sowinski; father-in-law, Roland Mudgett; sister, Julie
Wanta; and brother-in-law, Larry Mudgett.
A memorial service will be held
on Saturday, April 27 at 1 p.m. at the Gilman Funeral Home. Visitation is from
noon to 1 p.m. on Saturday.
