Wechlacz, Charles (12 APR 1881 - 28 MAR 1965)
Charles Wechlacz, 83, passed away at the County Hospital on Sunday, March
28, 1965.
Last rites were conducted by Rev. Edward Masalewicz on
Thursday, April, 1, ten o'clock at St. Hedwig's Chapel. Burial took place in the
parish cemetery.
Mr. Wechlacz was born April 12, 1881 in Taunov, Neb. He
married the former Josephine Stroinski on Sept. 28, 1910. He farmed in the Town
of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.) for many years and retired to the city of Thorp.
Surviving him are his wife, Joseph Wechlacz of Thorp, 4 sons, Ted and Victor
of Mt. Prospect, Ill., Louis of El Monte, Calif., Edwin of Thorp, four
daughters, Mrs. Ed (Elizabeth) Glanz, Addison, Ill., Mrs. Les (Virginia)
Rosecrans, Mrs. Ernest (Emily) Rohde, Franklin Park, Ill., Mrs. Vlad (Clara)
Zwierzynski, Los Angles, Calif., also 14 grandchildren and 6
great-grandchildren.
The pallbearers were: Ted, Victor, Louis, Edwin
Wechlacz, Victor Jr. Wechlacz and Malen Teclaw.
Relatives and friends
attending the funeral were from Chicago, St. Paul, Minneapolis, Los Angeles,
Withee and Stanley.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother
Joe, three sisters, Mary, Pauline and Helen.
