Arlyn (21 APR 1912 - 12 MAY 1965)
Services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday,
May 15 at the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home at Owen for Arlyn Decker, 53, route
1, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), who died of a heart condition Wednesday night at St.
Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield. The Rev. Robert Goessling, pastor of the First
Congregational Church, officiated and burial was made in the Riverside Cemetery
at Withee.
Mr. Decker was born April 21, 1912 at Red Granite. His
marriage to Martha Brown took place Sept. 3, 1932, at Eau Claire. After their
marriage the couple moved to a farm at Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), where Mr. Decker
was employed at one time as a police officer. They moved to Crystal Lake, and
later to a farm near Owen. He had been employed at the Clark County Hospital at
Owen until his illness about six months ago.
In addition to his wife, he
is survived by four son, Russell, Caledonia, Arlyn Jr., Menomonee Falls,
Kenneth, New Berlin, and Thomas, Pewaukee; his mother, Mrs. Mary Decker, Thorp;
two brothers, Darrell and Chester, Owen; and nine grandchildren.
