Bachmann, Rudolph D. (30 MAY 1885 - 24 MAY 1965)
Rudolph D. Bachmann, 79,
of Stanley, died Monday at 7 p.m. at Victory Memorial Hospital in Stanley.
Mr. Bachmann was born in Bern, Switzerland May 30, 1885 and came to the
United States in 1908, settling in Woodland, Wis. In 1910 he married Louis
Gafner in Woodland. Mr. Bachmann worked as a cheesemaker, an occupation he
followed all his life. In 1919 they moved to Bruce, then to Rice Lake in 1927.
They moved to the Town of Worden (Clark Co., Wis.), near Stanley, in 1935,
retiring in 1945, when they moved to the city of Stanley.
Surviving are
his wife, Louise, and nieces and nephews.
