Ogorzalek, Joseph (26 AUG 1884 - 28 MAY 1965)

Joseph Ogorzalek, 80, Lublin, passed away at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield, on Friday, May 28, 1965.

Mr. Ogorzalek, a retired farmer, was born in Nowsie, Poland, Aug. 26, 1884. He came to the states in 1901, arriving in Chicago. In 1917 he moved to the town of Roosevelt until 1949, when he retired and moved to Lublin. On Aug. 24, 1909, at Chicago, he married Katherine Gawron, who preceded him in death in 1948.

He was one of the charter members of St. Mary's Polish National Church in Lublin and one of the early settlers in the town of Roosevelt.

Funeral services were held at St. Mary's Polish National Catholic Church, Lublin on Monday, May 31st. Rev. Anthony Matla officiated at the 10:30 a.m. service and burial was in the parish cemetery. Pallbearers were Mayland Ogurek, John Sarafin, Joseph Nowak, Felix Nowak, John Fryza and Stanley Kaczmarcyk.

Surviving are his wife Kenegunda Gasior, whom he married in 1951, two sons, Andrew and John, both of Lublin; three daughters, (Leona) Mrs. Valentine Konczak, Gilman, Mary Dubiak and (Blanche) Mrs. Joe Bonczkiewicz, both of Lublin; one brother Peter, address unknown, and 13 grandchildren.

Relatives and friends attending the funeral were from Lublin, Withee, Gilman, Chicago, Chetek, Oelwein, Iowa, Stanley, Thorp and West Bend.
