Larry L. Boyer, 62, of
Neillsville died Sunday, April 7, 2013, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire.
Larry was born June 16, 1950, the son of Arvid “Bob” George and Dona Jean
(Spencer) Boyer. He attended school in Neillsville and graduated in 1968. He
then attended UW-Eau Claire for five years. He was united in marriage to Susan
Thiel June 29, 1974. Larry worked at Nelson Muffler in Neillsville for 25 years
and then the Baltus Bread and Butter Shop and Heartland Cenex for nine years.
Larry enjoyed reading, playing video games, playing softball, bowling, wood
burning and hunting.
He is survived by his wife, Susan, of Neillsville;
three children, Julie (Michael Schmidt) Boyer of Medford, Brian (Stephanie
Appel) Boyer of Neillsville, and Jason (Danielle Sampson) Boyer of Whitehall;
four grandchildren, Emma Holsen, Damian Sampson, Kloe Boyer and Saphire Boyer;
and four siblings, Bruce (Betty) Boyer of Neillsville, Brenda (Ivan) Ruzic of
Willard, Kari (Ron) Waltemate of Green Bay, and Shari (Jerome) Ryba of Curtiss.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Memorial service for Larry
will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 12, 2013, at the Gesche Funeral Home in
Neillsville. Pastor Douglas Bjerke will officiate. Visitation will be held from
10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday morning prior to the service at the Gesche Funeral
Home.
