Nickel, Daniel F. (2 December 1895 - 15 June 1969)

Daniel F. Nickel, 73, of rural Granton died Sunday in a Marshfield hosp ital. Funeral services were to be conducted today (Thursday) at 2 p.m. from Zion Lutheran Church at Granton, with the Rev. Rolland Roehrs officiating. Burial was made in the church cemetery.

Mr. Nickel was born December 2, 1895, in Wauwatosa, the son of Louis and Marie (Kegler) Nickel. He received some of his education there and continued it here after moving to Clark County at the age of 10. On February 16, 1926, he married Lovilla Sternitzky in Granton, and continued the farming he started as a young man. He lived in the Town of Fremont most of his life.

He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Elmer (Eleniore) Riedel of Marshfield, and a brother, Raymond Nickel of Granton. He was preceded in death by his wife on October 7, 1962.

He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church at Granton. He served on the church council there.

The Georgas Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
