Hargraves, Barbara (13 JUN 1964)

Following their honeymoon trip to Monterey, Ind., Mr. and Mrs. Jack L. Ortman are now home at Colby.

The former Miss Barbara Hargraves, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Klenka Hargraves, and jack L. Ortman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ortman, all of route 2, Athens, were married at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Milan, Saturday, June 13, 1964, at 1:30. The Rev. Ferdinand Timler read the service, during which Mrs. Orville Barkow as orgnaist and Mrs. Arthur Heldt and Dennis Emenecker sang "Wedding Prayer" and "The Lord's Prayer."

Attending the bride were Miss Veronica Hargraves of Athens as maid of honor, and Mrs. Roger Heliot of Racine and Miss Martha Ortman, Athens.

For her wedding the bride chose a gown with a lace and taffeta bodice and net and organza skirt. A crown of Pearls and crystals held her bouffant veil and she carried a bouquet of red roses and white carnations.

Her maid of honor was attired in a blue lace over taffeta dress with midriff jacket of lace, and the bridesmaids wore similar gowns in pink. They carried crescent bouquets of matching and white carnations.

James Ortman was the best man, and Roger Heliot and Gene Rodman were groomsmen, and Frederick Bahr and Lester Scheahemberger were ushers.

About 400 guests attended the wedding reception at the home of the bride's parents and the supper at the church basement. In the evening a dance was held at the Trianon Ballroom.

Mr. Ortman is employed at Kraft Cheese Co. at Milan.
