Doreene A. Boushon, 78,
Loyal, died Saturday, April 20, 2013, at her home, under the care of Ministry
Home Care Hospice, surrounded by her loving family. Burial will take place in
the Lutheran Cemetery in Loyal at a later date. Visitation will be held at
Cuddie Funeral Home, Loyal from 4-7 p.m.. on Thursday, April 25.
Doreene
Ardith Jakobi was born on May 12, 1934, in Loyal, the daughter of Fred and Meta
(nee Anderegg) Jakobi. She was raised on the family farm and received her
education in area schools, graduating from Loyal High School in 1952. Doreene
married Harry H. Boushon on April 30, 1955, at the Veefkind Church in the town
of Sherman, Clark County. They lived in Marshfield intil 1960, and then moved to
Unity where they ran a the Corner Bar tavern and restaurant until 1970. They
purchased a farm northeast of Loyal and farmed until their so, Joey’ took over
the operation in 1997. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She had many
interests, but especially loved flowers, gardening, her pets, hummingbirds and
animals.
She will be dearly missed by her children, Vickie Lindner,
Greenwood, Steven (Carol) Boushon, Lynn, Carl (Diane) Boushon, Loyal, Joey
Boushon, Loyal, and Brenda (Tony) Schoonover, Loyal; 12 grandchildren; 13
great-grandchildren; two brothers, Donald (Tie) Jacobi, Colby, and Duane (Elsie)
Jacobi, Chili; and nieces, Nephews, other relatives and friends.
Doreene
was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harry, on Dec. 6, 2005; her
sister Darlene Pischer; and two brothers and one sister in infancy.
