Johnson, John T. (11 February 1895 - 29 June 1969)

John T. Johnson, 74, of Wisconsin Rapids, former Greenwood resident, died June 29, of an apparent heart attack. Funeral services were scheduled for Wednesday afternoon from Our Savior’s Lutheran Church with the Rev. Arvid Myhrwold officiating. Burial was to be made in the Greenwood Cemetery.

Mr. Johnson, son of Martin and Anna Johnson, was born February 11, 1895, in Chicago, Ill. The family lived there and in Hawkins before coming to Greenwood in 1918. In 1949 Mr. Johnson went to Waukegan, Ill., and lie there until going to Wisconsin Rapids in 1968. He was a veteran of World War I and had never married.

He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Bertha ‘Betty’ Johnson, of Wisconsin Rapids and several nieces and nephews.
