Neuhaus, William A. (18 DEC 1883

Funeral services were held on Wednesday afternoon at the
First United Church of Christ at Colby for William August Neuhaus, Colby (Clark
Co., Wis.), who died at the age of 80, early Sunday morning, June 21, 1964, at
the Havenet Nursing Home in Owen. The Rev. Carl Serr officiated. Burial was made
in Colby Memorial Cemetery.
William Neuhaus was born in Manitowoc County
on Dec. 18, 1883. After his marriage in 1909 he and his wife came to the town of
Colby, where they farmed until 1943, when they moved to the city of Colby. They
were Colby residents for the past 21 years. He was a member of the First United
Church of Christ.
William Neuhaus is survived by his wife; two sons,
Harvey of Sheboygan, and Harold of Plymouth; two daughters, Mrs. Howard (Ella)
Pacholke of Sauk City and Mrs. Ervin (Edna) Schowerer of Manitowoc; three
sisters, Mrs. Walter (Ella) Baumgartner of Colby, Mrs. Edwin (Hulda) Strade of
Abbotsford, and Mrs. Amos (Mathilda) Miller of Elkhart Lake; four brothers, Otto
Neuhaus, Sheboygan, Richard Neuhaus, Genoa City, Herter, Abbotsford, and Paul,
Hot Spring, Ark.; and 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was
preceded in death by three sons, Clarence, as a baby, Elmer in 1951, and Ervin
in 1962, and by eight brothers and sisters.
