Miss Terry Engel,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Engel of Dorchester, and Richard Hackel, son of
Mr. and Mrs. William Hackel of Colby, repeated their marriage promises in St.
Louis Catholic Church, Dorchester, Saturday morning, June 27, 1964. The Rev.
Gerald F. Schuh performed the double ring ceremony and celebrated the nuptial
high mass at 10 o'clock.
Miss Susan Engel of Dorchester was maid of honor
at her sister's wedding. Miss Elnore Heckel of Milwaukee, a sister of the groom,
and Mrs. James Weber of Colby, a friend, were the bridesmaids.
The bride,
who was presented in marriage by her father, was attired in a floor length gown
of peau de soie with a molded bodice and bateau neckline. The skirt was a
pincess styling with a full back ending in a chapel sweep. A petal crown held
her fingertip veil. She carried a bouquet of red and white roses.
Floor
length dresses of Lucerne blue peau de soie were chose for the attendants. The
fitted bodice had cap sleeves and the semi-sheath skirts had a bow trim at the
front and a drape at the back. The bow trim was repeated on their matching pill
box hats with small veils. The maid of honor carried a cascade bouquet of yellow
and white carnations and the bridesmaids carried similar bouquets of white and
blue tinted carnations.
Edwin Hackel of Colby, a brother of the groom,
was the best man, and Terry Seubert of Dorchester and James Weber of Colby were
the groomsmen. Kenneth Etten of Stetsonville and Bernard Hackel of Milwaukee
were the ushers.
The new Mr. and Mrs. Hackel received the good wishes of
relatives and friends at a reception held at the church hall. A wedding dance
was held at Memorial Hall at Dorchester, after which they left on a two week
honeymoon trip to the southern states.
On their return, they will live on
the groom's farm, Route 2, Colby.
Mr. Hackel attend the Colby High School
and his bride is a 1963 graduate of the Dor-Abby High School.
Guests at
the wedding came from Dorchester, Colby, Milwaukee, Mauston, Eau Claire, Mellen,
Medford, Rhinelander, Stetsonville, Chicago, and Highland Park, Ill., and
Colorado.
