Ramker, Mary (11 JUL 1964)
Miss Mary Ramker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Max
Ramker, Route 1, Colby, and Arlyn Hanne, son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hanne, Route
2, Colby, were united in marriage during a nuptial high mass at St. Mary's
Catholic Church, Colby, at 1:30 o'clock Saturday, July 11, 1964. The Rev.
Ambrose Blenker was the officiant.
For her matron of honor, the bride
chose her sister, Mrs. James Asplund, route 1, Colby, Mrs. William Rachu of
Marshfield, Miss Penny Fischer of Riplinger, friends, and Miss Debby Ramker of
Colby, another sister, served as bridesmaids. Denise Witte of Colby was flower
girl.
Chantilly lace fashioned the floor length bridal gown made with a
fitted bodice and jewel trimmed square neckline. The full lace skirt was caught
up at the center front and back with roses and revealed tiers of nylon tulle and
lace at the hemline. Her fingertip veil was held with crystal droplets and
pearls. She carried a bouquet of red roses and white carnations.
Her
attendants wore street length dresses of acetate nylon lace over taffeta. A
nylon sheer fly-away panel encircled the v-shaped necklines and the bodice
dipped to a v at the waists. Crowns of seed pearls held small blusher veils.
Pink was chosen for the matron of honor, who carried a bouquet of pink mums
and white carnations. The bridesmaids carried yellow mums and white carnations
with their yellow dresses.
James Asplund of Colby was the best man.
William Rachu of Marshfield, Allen Schmutzler of Riplinger, and David Syring of
Edgar were the groomsmen, and Danny Ramker of Colby was the ring bearer.
Ray Rachu of Unity and Maynard Tramelling of Spencer performed the ushering
duties.
The new Mr. and Mrs. Hanne received the congratulations of
friends at a reception at Cherokee Hall. The wedding supper was served at St.
Mary's gym and in the evening a wedding dance was held at Trianon Ballroom.
The address of the newlyweds is Spencer, where the goom is employed at
Spencer Sports Products.
Guests at the wedding came from Rib Mountain,
Wausau, Hortonville, Marshfield, Spencer, Unity, Abbotsford, Edgar, Colby,
Athens, Marathon, Park Falls, Loyal, Madison, Riplinger, Milwaukee and Iowa.
